The visionary who started it all in 2005. Carlos trained in Naples, Italy, before bringing authentic Neapolitan techniques to Lake Delton with a Wisconsin twist.
Sofia Martinez
Carlos's wife and business partner, Sofia runs the front of house with warmth and precision. Her guest-first philosophy defines the Pizza Ranch experience.
James Kowalski
A culinary school graduate with a passion for innovation, James leads our recipe development — constantly crafting new seasonal specials that keep guests coming back.
Amara Johnson

The Grand Opening
Carlos and Sofia Martinez open Pizza Ranch on Frontage Rd with a 4-table dining room, a wood-fired oven, and a menu of 8 classic pizzas. The community embraces them from day one.
First Expansion & New Recipes
Responding to growing demand, we expand the dining room from 4 tables to 16 and introduce our signature Ranch Supreme and BBQ Smokehouse pizzas — still customer favorites today.
Catering Launch
Amara Johnson joins the team and launches our catering arm, bringing Pizza Ranch to local events, corporate lunches, and private celebrations across the Dells area.
Local Farm Partnerships
We formalize partnerships with four local Wisconsin farms to source our cheese, vegetables, and meats, cementing our commitment to freshness and community support.
Chef James Joins the Kitchen
James Kowalski joins as Executive Sous Chef, introducing a seasonal specials rotation and expanding our menu to include gluten-free crust options and new gourmet toppings.

Adapting to challenging times, we launch online ordering and contactless delivery. Our community rallies around us with overwhelming support, and we respond by feeding frontline workers.
Full Renovation & New Menu
A full restaurant renovation modernizes our space while honoring its cozy roots. We also launch a revamped menu with 30+ pizza varieties, craft salads, and homemade desserts.
